Hello Friends, this one I am offering for sale is a beautiful single-string Diddley bow made using a metal box.
It features an acoustic string and can be tuned in many keys.
It is amplified with a powerful and sensitive piezoelectric pickup of the round undersaddle type.
The dimensions are length 73cm, box 15x10x5cm (approximately).
Dimensions may vary slightly.
It has a distinctive delta blues sound and can be connected to any guitar amplifier.

The diddley bow is a stringed instrument of African origin that became popular in the first decades of the 20th century.
It is thought to have its origins in some traditional instruments from the Ghanaian coast of West Africa.
It had its popularity mainly in the southern United States and among the other names by which it was called we find the "jitterbug", the "one-string" while an ethnomusicologist could formally define it as a "zither
monochord".
